Sam Long appointed new Senior Coach
The Yeronga South Brisbane Football Club is pleased to announce that Sam Long has been appointed Senior Coach for the 2018 season.
We are excited to have Sam on board and believe it is a great opportunity for us to take the club in a new direction and be a leader in the QFA Division 1 competition.
Sam is a former Premiership Player at Mt Gravatt and UQ, and has been an assistant coach at QAFL level since 2014 at both Mt Gravatt and the Western Magpies. Throughout his career he has shown a consistency of high level performances resulting in finals, Grand Finals and Premierships. We are confident he will be able to replicate this high performance at Yeronga.
Sam is excited to be on board and looks forward to the challenge that lays ahead.
"My role as senior coach will be to unite the playing group, impart knowledge of the game and develop “smart” footballers who train diligently, play passionately and act professionally in pursuit of a common goal."
President Chris Ryan said of Sam's appointment,
"I believe Sam is the perfect fit for our club as we look to move in a new direction. The club believes Sam can take this club to the next level and is excited to have him on board."
